The vert first sign is that cutting is a cry for help. Anybody can tell you different but the truth is that they really hurting so much that within they self they calling for help. It's like any other kind of addition, you'll have to wean yourself in stages. When you get the urge to cut, make a commitment to do something else instead. writing helps alot because it takes alot of frustrations out.... Exercise helps too, it releases endorphines into your system that will improve your mood. If you really can get over the ritual of cutting overnight, sometimes it helps to do something similar that's not as destructive.
Draw on yourself with a red pen where you usually cut or waddle on a bit of wood with whatever you cut with. You could also find a hobby - I like music and put my energy into play hours and hours a day on an instrument. I know it's hard, but have you talked to anyone close to you about it?try to stop, but talk to your parents honestly about what was going on in your life and tell them what you was doing that the impulses disappeared.
you gotta ask yourself, whats importance, your life, or inflecting harm and pain to yourself aside of others around you. Causing harm to yourself is not the answer. You need to figure out what is making you do this to yourself to heal within your self instead of out. It could be adrenaline rush you get or a relieve doing the
stressful days and some may because your calling out for attention of those who you love that doesn't give you alot of time. Seek help and keep yourself busy by finding a hobby or doing things that can change your life for the better instead of causing pain within because it only reflects on you not nobody else.
